Proteng IT
A revolutionary automatic gas extinguishing system, intended for protecting small enclosed spaces in which computers, servers, electrical equipment, etc. are housed. The volume of the enclosed space is limited to maximum 0.25 m3 .
How many users actually shut down their computers? Commonly, computers in offices and homes run continuously, and nobody realises what could happen and what might be lost. And when a fire breaks out, there is often nobody around to deal with it quickly. Simply installing the Fire Attack IT in the PC case is sufficient to avert such situations. In that way, the risk of the fire spreading is eliminated.
The entire working principle is based on an 18 mm diameter polyamide hose that is 40 cm in length and is filled under pressure with the effective extinguishing agent FM-200, which is called Heptafluoropropane. At a normal temperature there is a constant 5 bar pressure. There is 100 g of the extinguishing agent in the hose. When the hose is heated during a fire, the pressure rises to 15 bar at a temperature of 100 °C. The system activates at 120 °C. The polyamide hose wall section that has become soft will burst exactly at the point with the highest thermal load, which will then release the extinguishing gas into the compartment. The gas reliably and effectively extinguishes the fire at its source. There is no damage to electrical components during extinguishing. The whole system is fully automatic, requires no control and activates immediately if a fire starts. This system protects you personally and your property 24/7.
The suitability for purpose of this installation is shown by the fact that our Proteng IT system is installed in nuclear power stations (e.g. Mochovce and Jaslovské Bohunice, Slovakia – Kalininskaja, Russia) – and in places where there is the highest level of emphasis on safety. This system is installed in gas installations, electrical switchgear, and computer servers cabinets (e.g. the Johan Desmet Insurance Company's servers, Belgium), computers, domestic distribution cabinets, various other electrical installations, etc.
